We got drawn for the lower cains this weekend. We've done the stretch before and usually just canoe and camp somewhere down river on the bank. However, this year we're on a bit of a tight schedule Sunday since one of our buddies has to catch a flight so we thought we'd give camping at Acadia bridge and driving to the pools a try. Has anyone done this? How are the roads? Are the pools easy to find? Thanks for any tips!

I did this stretch after Sept 15 last year a few times. Probably want a 4 wheel drive truck just because of a couple of water holes. You can drive to almost Sure Shot (short walk) and Blue Rocks plus the bridge pool is right there. The best pool we had the most success at was Sure Shot. It is a bit of a drive between pools from the bridge pool. Tight Lines

I did the Upper Stretch in the summer but water was low. Liked the lower stretch better
