where is the best place to catch mackerel this weekend ?

what area are you looking to fish critter? the east coast has a fair run of good size macks running right now.
Who ever has the most fishin' gear when they die wins!

blacks should be good. if you are not getting many, try down sizing your makerel rig. they seem to go for a smaller bait when closed mouthed this year.

I fished Beaver Harbour and Back Bay all the way around to the Deer Island Ferry and there were no mackerel to be found anywhere. No big schools showing on the fishfinder. Only caught a few herring, small pollock and sculpin. We covered lots of water with the boat and it was the worst fishing I've ever had in the salt from the boat. The best bite all day was from a seal after a big rapala.
